Well Played: Revitaliste x Aly Gay Design at the 2026 San Francisco Decorator Showcase

Every year, the San Francisco Decorator Showcase invites the Bay Area's most talented designers to transform a single home into something extraordinary. This year, Menlo Park-based Aly Gay Design turned a sun-drenched room with views of the Golden Gate Bridge into Well Played — a game room designed to do exactly what its name promises.
Aly's design philosophy centers on spaces that feel as livable as they are beautiful — layered with color, texture, and a touch of whimsy, and anchored by the belief that every room should have an antique with a little history in it. Well Playedis all of that, distilled into a single joyful room. A custom Mahjong table by Oomph Home anchors the space. A curved sofa invites lingering. Custom engraved switchplates guide guests with the kind of considered detail most people never think to include. The room is designed to pull you in and gently insist you stay — just one more game, one more story, one more smile.
Revitaliste's contribution: four game chairs, reupholstered in Thibaut's Kamut Embroidery in a flamestitch pattern — soft, undulating waves of color against crisp white frames. The embroidered texture brings a richness you feel from across the table, and up close, the detail is even better. Four chairs that more than earned their seat at the table.
Well Played was featured in Architectural Digest, Luxe, and House Beautiful. Aly Gay Design is based in Menlo Park and works with clients throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, Napa, Truckee, Carmel, and beyond.
