Double Standard: Revitaliste x Jeffrey Neve Interior Design at the 2026 Decorator Showcase

Every spring, the San Francisco Decorator Showcase transforms an iconic home into a living gallery of design — and every year, a handful of rooms stop you in your tracks. Jeffrey Neve's "Double Standard" is one of those rooms. A boys' bedroom built on a quietly brilliant premise: what does classic style look like when it grows up?

Jeffrey, principal of Jeffrey Neve Interior Design, drew his inspiration from two touchstones — a dog-eared copy of The Official Preppy Handbook and the stylized, deadpan world of Wes Anderson's Rushmore. Both speak to a particular kind of heritage: structured, codes-driven, deeply familiar — and ripe for personal reinterpretation. Two twin beds, two young men on the verge of leaving home for college, stepping into their own points of view. The symmetry is intentional. So is the tension it holds.

Revitaliste was honored to bring the room's centerpiece to life. Jeffrey brought us a pair of vintage twin beds with beautiful bones and a lifetime ahead of them, and we gave them exactly the elevation the concept called for: lacquered in a deep, custom green and upholstered in vegan woven leather. Warm, tactile, sophisticated, and unmistakably confident. Classic in structure, but with a point of view all their own. These beds didn't just grow up — they arrived.

A California native with a global perspective, Jeffrey Neve founded his eponymous Bay Area firm in 2017. Known as a design chameleon, his interiors are rich with color, texture, and meaning — each one tailored to reflect the lives of the people who live there. His work has been featured in Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, and House Beautiful, among others.
