2018 was incredibly busy for Revitaliste - and we’re so thankful for all of the projects we worked on with our fabulous clients. To celebrate the year’s end, we’ve put together a list of Revitaliste’s most-favorited before and afters. From cozy upholstery to bold lacquering and everything in between, we hope that these unique projects inspire you as much as they’ve inspired us. Here’s to a new year of more fabulous collaborations - see our top seven project roundup for below!

7. Midcentury Shearling Dining Chairs with HSH Interiors

Talk about cozy. Interior designer Holly Hollenbeck’s midcentury Milo Baughman-style chrome chairs got an uber hygge makeover in Keleen Leathers’ slate grey shearling. To give them an even warmer feel, we powder-coated the original chrome frames in a matte antique brass finish. See more about Holly’s gorgeous chair makeover here.

6. Garden Chairs Revamped for Estee Stanley's Outdoor Oasis

We worked with renowned Los Angeles designer Estee Stanley to breath new life into her classic yet decaying garden chairs. To revitalize these chairs, we sandblasted all of the old paint off, weatherized them with a coat of zinc, powder coated them with a warm, white sheen and upholstered the cushions in a new fabric. See more photos of Estee’s newly revitalized patio chairs here.

5. An Iconic Edward Wormley Sofa Gets a Makeover

In the world of midcentury design, there are a few designs that will forever inspire contemporary designs for their classic yet show-stopping looks. The Edward Wormley ‘Gondola’ sofa is one such piece, and Evie Simon, co-owner of Simon Breitbard Fine Arts, knew that this design was the perfect piece to compliment her chic, art-filled living room. We reupholstered the sofa in Holly Hunt’s ‘Melody',’ outlined the frame and seat in a leather welt from Samuel & Sons and maintained the original button layout to honor the design. See more from this project here.

4. Contemporary Settee Revitalized in Peter Dunham’s ‘Ikat’

Few textile designers have become both master fabric makers as well as highly successful interior designers. Peter Dunham is one such rare visionary who has excelled at both, making homes feel classic, yet always fresh and modern with his patterns. To make this contemporary settee really pop, we revitalized it in Peter Dunham’s ‘Ikat’ in indigo, and lacquered the legs in a custom blue with Piper Sage Design in Mill Valley. See our exclusive interview and more photos of the settee here.

3. An ENTIRE Home of Antiques is Revitalized

This Presidio Heights home wouldn’t have felt the same had its owner’s collection of antiques and vintage furniture not made a revitalized debut along with the home’s massive transformation. We worked with Skin Interior Design to reimagine over a dozen pieces in the home, giving each of them a newly updated look, while being careful to keep the original bones that made them so special in the first place. See the pieces transformed and the home’s reveal here.

2. A Midcentury Credenza Is Transformed

We transformed this teak classic, midcentury credenza in Ralph Lauren Home's 'Bicycle Yellow' custom-colored lacquer, lined the shelves with Katie Ridder’s 'Attendants' upholstery fabric, and added a white cowhide to the drawers for a fun surprise detail. See the full transformation and all of the added, fun design details here.

1. A Lacquered Dresser in Dina Bandman’s Lemondrop Lullaby

Perfectly powder blue. We worked with interior designer Dina Bandman to transform her room in the San Francisco Designer Showcase, and this piece, along with the entire, gorgeous nursery designed by Dina, was an instant hit. To transform her dresser-turned-changing table, we removed and redesigned the trellis fretwork on the drawer fronts and lacquered it in a single, custom color, and added fun yellow tassel pulls to match the gorgeous lemon drop room theme. See this gorgeous piece up-close here.
